Yes the sun it will rise and smile down upon us as we begin another morning All the stars up in the sky are aligned like the birds flying high, always soaring Oh, oh, time it will show Oh, oh, time will show There we meet on the street of the town where we both waste our time, our time trying to live life through the strife that is thrown on our plates everyday, always trying oh, oh please don't go, oh-no, please don't go Echos ringing from the past, singing songs from times long lost when love would last Echos singing in the stars, like the bells of paradise they sing afar, afar All the things that were said, did they last just for a moment or will they last, for all eternity To what end do we go, as we speed down the highway like a bolt of light, to meet destiny Oh no, please don't go, oh no please don't go Echos ringing from the past singing songs from times long lost when love would last echos singing in the stars, like the bells of paradise they sing afar, afar At the end of the road will you still be there so I have someone to hold oh no please don't go, oh no please don't go

Wandering through the trees, looking for the well searching for something unseen, that only time can tell So go on up the mountain just to see how high you can climb take a drink from the fountain and taste the water turned into wine So come and share your story if you please, I will hear you out and don't be scared of your visions unseen, they won't let you down Looking out ore' the plain, towards the end of time pondering eternity, it occupies the mind So go on up the mountain just to see how high you can climb take a drink from the fountain and taste the water turned into wine So come and share your story if you please, I will hear you out and don't be scared of your visions unseen, they won't let you down, they won't let you down, they won't let you down

My Fire 03:39
There is a flame deep inside of me, it is my fire, my desire, and I need it It shows the path that winds in front of me, it is my fire, my desire, I listen to it! the path will show itself, the futures ours to tell everyone I know is always looking, for a place they think will make them happy, with no end in sight we keep on searching, for the place that keeps us always pushing on! there is a need deep inside of me, it is my fire, my desire, I listen to it it keeps on burning it won't let me sleep, it is my fire, my desire, always burning it lives inside oh yes it helps me see, it is my fire, my desire, and I need it it is alive it is a part of me, it is my fire, my desire, I listen to it! the futures in the air, there's no need to be scared everyone I know is always looking, for a place they think will make them happy, with no end in sight we keep on searching, for the place that keeps us always pushing on! Everyone I know is always looking, for a place to go that will keep them happy with no end in sight we'll keep on searching for a place to go that can keep us happy everyone I know is always looking, for a place they think will make them happy, with no end in sight we keep on searching, for the place that keeps us always pushing on!

The Gamble 03:46
You peeled away from the blossom the pedals of our love you steeled away from the comforts, the comforts of our love You played for it all when you gambled, you played all your cards and you lost, you laid down your hand when you left me to stand yeah you laid down your hand and you lost OooohOooohOoohh, you spilt the love out from our veins ooooh, ooohooooh, you spit the love back in my face I put my faith in the powers, the powers of our love you stole away from the coffers, the coffers of our love You played for it all when you gambled, you played all your cards and you lost, you laid down your hand when you left me to stand yeah you laid down your hand and you lost OooohOooohOoohh, you spilt the love out from our veins ooooh, ooohooooh, you spit the love back in my face

I'd walk the world to find you, I can't exist without you, I'd walk the world to be with you Tired of the walls that hide you, tired of the miles that divide you, tired of the space between me and you No I can't help myself my darling, oooh I need your help my darling Ooooooooooh, no I can't not love you OOOOoooooh, no I can't not love you I'd swim the sea to see you, I'd drown my fears to be near you, I'd swim the sea, to be with you Stretched thin and growing weary, but baby please don't worry, don't worry all I need is you No I can't help myself my darling, oooh I need your help my darling Ooooooooooh, no I can't not love you OOOOoooooh, no I can't not love you

A lonely angel walking through the night like a ghost from another time Graceful as the butterfly she spreads her wings to rise white and silently she floats as a shadow bathed in light the only sound for miles around is her singing through the night she stole my soul that night to hold till the end of time she disappeared that night, but now I know which angel is mine her song went "oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh"

The same old story through out time has been told, two star crossed lovers with their lives yet to unfold half naive and half afraid they lived with one foot in the grade Blinded by the rising sun in the morning sky two star crossed lovers with their futures yet to find half aware from the start, they put their faith in the hears to help keep it strong they were singing "Oh, ooh-oh, oh, oh, oh, oh" trusting each other with the proof in each others eyes these star crossed lovers were just hoping to survive through the struggle and strife that had haunted their lives though outside powers would try to bring them down, these desperate lovers they kept following the sound, oh the sound of the truth only heard in the youth of their true love They say that it's better to have just one lover at one time and baby when we are separated, I'll hold onto your soul if you hold mine Separated and scattered like the leaves, two heart broke lovers are still trying to believe, that all you need is one another and one another is all you need maybe someday our love will reunite, and like a fairy tale we'll live on in delight cause the best things in life are the ones that you know are worth waiting for They say that it's better to have just one lover at one time and baby when we are separated, I'll hold onto your soul if you hold mine, oh baby please don't let go, I'll hold your soul if you hold mine and we were singing, "Oh--ooh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh"

Silently the shadows go down the river towards the shore Silently the shadows go into the unknown Voices from the other side calling out beneath the tide Voices from the other side they call us to the sea Following the howling wind, where does it blow? where do we go? Haunted thoughts hold on like strings to earth bound things you've left behind you, left behind you, left behind you oh baby please just let me go oh when my time comes I will let you know oh baby please just let me go into the unknown I'll meet you on the other side when i go back down underneath the tide I'll meet you on the other side of the shores of the farthest sea Following that howling wind, how does it blow? where do we go? memories hold on like strings to the earth bound things I've left behind with you, left behind with you, left behind with you

Calm as the dew upon the grass, the dawn sun bathed both paths how do you know, which way to go? how do you know? oh that is the question And know you have a choice, oh yeah you have a choice, you must use your voice to see the path of the wicked when the fear and doubt subside then your spirit can confide in the light of the dawn looking on the path of the righteous you must choose a way to walk everyday, you must choose which way leads to the light or the wicked a song to show the way, to keep the dark at bay just sing a song from times long gone it will help in the darkness it will light the way for you to go, and I will wait until you have arrived, lord knows that I've got the time, just waiting on the shores of the farthest sea for you. I see my life flash before my eyes, a heart beat and I realize, open up my eyes and realize

about

Into the Unknown is the debut album from Brian, Joseph, and Casey, the moniker of Minneapolis-based songwriter/producer Brian Casey's first solo effort. After recent releases as lead vocalist/guitarist in the art-pop outfit Glorious Monster, and the disco-dance group Man is Doomed, Casey explores both a new genre as well as a new working dynamic as the solo writer, performer, and producer on Into the Unknown. A beautiful mix of folk, rock, and western stylings (in the vein of Fleet Foxes, Edward Sharpe), Casey performs on a variety of instruments (including the hammered dulcimer, mandolin, and baritone guitar, to name a few) as well as sings harmonies throughout the album.

Since 2005 Casey has been working out of Minneapolis as half of the music production duo The Skeptics with fellow Minneapolis musician and friend, Danny Burke. As a production team The Skeptics have worked as composers on dozens of television, film, and advertising jobs for brands such as BMW, Coca-Cola, and Sony Pictures to name a few. The Skeptics have also released albums as two different projects, the first being the art-pop outfit Glorious Monster's debut release Adventures on Earth in 2007, and then later the electronic-disco-dance band Man is Doomed and their 2009 release, Escape to Europa.

Into the Unknown is our first glimpse of Casey as a solo songwriter and takes a definitively different direction then his other projects. Soaring harmonies, story-teller lyrics, and joyous guitar strumming comprise a rich and beautiful sound that show us a different side to both Casey's musical talents, as well as his personality, on Into the Unknown.
